Conservation volunteers assist our wildlife monitors on Thanda

Voluntourism: A volunteer's experience on Thanda Private Game Reserve.A group of volunteers from America, Canada and Australia joined our volunteer programme last week on Thanda Private Game Reserve in Zululand, South Africa. Our wildlife monitors, Michelle and Ashley, took them on their monitoring sessions every day and had the volunteers assist them with their field work. Often having to get up before dawn, the group set out to find the pack of African Painted Dogs and a few of the Rhino that we monitor on a daily basis. We're all about having fun in the bush whilst working hard and learning about the importance of wildlife monitoring for threatened and endangered wildlife species in Africa.
